We would like to send our condolences to the Solent Kestrels and Guymon family on the deeply saddening news of the passing of Bev Guymon.
Bev was an inspiration to the Basketball Community helping so many through her passion for the game and her dedication and 'Can do' attitude changed lives for the better.
We want to thank Bev for bringing the Basketball Vs Cancer campaign to us we in 2014. She was the driving force and inspiration behind the campaign that raised £5301 for the Liver and Pancreatic Cancer Research and Development Charity. We were honoured to have worked with Bev on this project and to have been given the opportunity to help others through our own passion for Basketball. We think this summed Bev up using Basketball as a vehicle to help other people, and has only been backed up by the floods of tributes seen on social media today.
Basketball has lost a true star and will not be the same without her unwavering support, but her work will live on in all the lives she affected with her incredible spirit.
