Fantastic news this morning as Sports Minister Helen Grant announces GB Basketball is to receive £1.18 million from Sport England from November 2014 to March 2017, giving the national programme a lifeline.
Well done to all that have been campaigning against the GB Basketball funding cuts, this mornings announcement is a small victory. However, it does not stop here this is just the beginning of what is required for GB Basketball to succeed. UK Sport have recently announced they are going to have a public consultation on funding strategy - we urge everyone to contribute to this consultation and make your voices heard, together we can make a difference.
